We currently have 12 parents participating on the Parent Advisory Council. Parents meet once every other month to discuss ways of improving family involvement in the KAYSC and planning family events.
Commitment: Interested parents and guardians of current KAYSC youth commit to 50 hours of participation in a year.
----six, two-hour meetings (approximately one every other month)
----assisting at family events and open houses
----working on monthly Advisory Board activities (for example, event planning, calling other parents, writing and ----translating newsletters, contacting schools or organizations, etc.)
Benefits: Members of the Parent Advisory Board receive
----a stipend for a full year of participation (provided in gift cards)
----parking or bus passes to get to and from council meetings
----museum tickets and volunteer benefits
